Audio/Visual = responsible for using the technologies of sound and sight to increase the effectiveness of the ministry of the church.
Benevolence = responsible for investigating and providing a caring ministry for those requesting assistance for others or themselves; may refer the request to another agency which can better fulfill their need.
Building & Grounds = responsible for all physical assets of the church, including maintenance, furnishings, parking surface, and equipment; ensures that the facility is safely and securely maintained; also responsible for the exterior grounds, including site maintenance, plant care, and landscape development.
Children’s and Youth Ministry = see CHILDREN’S MINISTRY under “About Us”
Contact = notifies the church members of urgent needs or announcements, such as cancellation of services due to weather or electrical service outages, critical health situations, and notification of a death in our church family.
Deacons = chosen by the church after having demonstrated that they meet the qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:8-13; includes several important areas: 1) servants of the church, assisting the pastor and staff in performing pastoral duties; 2) introduce new church members to the church and its programs; 3) lead in the Family Ministry Program (each deacon ministers to several members of the church); 4) assist the pastor in the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Decorations = responsible for floral decorations and decorative furnishings for the common areas of the church.
Fellowship = enrich the fellowship of our church through sponsoring various activities such as ‘Share His Love’ dinners, summer church picnic, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas potluck, and other socials throughout the year; responsible for food preparation and serving for all church functions; also sets expectations for other groups requesting use of our kitchen facilities.
NEIGHBORHOOD CARE GROUPS: reach out to all church members who are in need of food, transportation, or comfort following surgery or while recuperating at home from an illness.

Hospital/Nursing Home Visitation =
HOSPITAL VISITATION: visit members when they are hospitalized, stay with family during times of surgery, identify needs when and where the church family can assist.
NURSING HOME VISITATION: visit members when they are confined to their home, in a nursing home, or in an assisted living facility.
Library = located in the Conference Room; our goal is to provide enjoyable reading of Christian books and watching of Christian media, including fiction, devotional, and reference; just pick up a book or DVD, take it home and read or watch it, and then return it to the book cart in the library.
Member Care/Bereavement = responsible for meeting the needs of members while working with other teams to ensure that members are cared for in times of emergency or need; some examples are death in the family and disabled/recovering from surgery.
Missions = identify, coordinate, train, and motivate members to be involved in local, associational, state, national, and international missions; encourages participation in specific mission projects, such as Spring Lake Camp, New Beginnings, and Samaritan’s Purse.
Outreach (includes Coffee Fellowship Work Group & Greeters) = reach out to all visitors who attend our church, informing them of the ministries of our church and their opportunity to participate; greeters are part of this ministry team; it is their responsibility to greet visitors and inform them of the different Bible study classes and opportunities.
Prayer = lead the church in corporate prayer; some activities are maintaining a time of prayer on Sunday morning prior to the services, planning prayer for special events; oversee areas of corporate prayer in the life of the congregation, emergency prayer requests, and the website prayer wall.
Publicity = makes the residents of Hot Springs Village aware of our church’s worship services, Bible study opportunities, fellowship, ministries, and other opportunities.

Ushers = greet all members and visitors to the church, make all feel welcome, and help provide a safe environment for worship.
Visitor Follow-up = communicate with visitors, giving attention to church activities in the hope of securing a return visit with the goal of church membership; coordinates with neighborhood care groups, Bible study ministries, and deacon ministries
Website & Technology = maintain the church website and make certain the church is using the correct technology to meet its needs.
Women’s Ministries = sponsors major events for the women of our church to promote personal growth, discipleship, Christian fellowship, and Kingdom service – such as a spring luncheon, fall retreat, and Bible studies for women.
Yokefellows = men in the church who are not deacons but have committed to assist deacons in their ministry when and where needed.
