My role at CBC is small and only requires a few hours of my time each week. Nevertheless, I believe I make an important contribution to the financial outcomes of the congregation. I work with the church Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. My main focuses are to ensure bills are paid; staff payroll is completed timely; taxes and reporting to government entities are done; reconciling the monthly bank statement and tracking the congregants’ weekly contributions.
On a personal note, my relationship with Jesus started when I was very young. I was born and brought up in a Christ-centered home. Once I understood that God sent His son Jesus to earth to be the sacrificial lamb who would redeem me from my sins, I accepted him as my Lord and Savior and responded in the same way as the crowd on the Day of Pentecost. After hearing the Apostle Peter preach the Gospel, the people were touched to the heart and asked him what they needed to do to be saved. His response is found in Acts 2:38, “Repent and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” I am a born-again, baptized believer saved by God’s grace.
